October 26 Update

Well, we just returned from a long weekend to Austin, TX! The drive there was about 6 hours long. We stopped around halfway to meet Genevieve (a friend of ours) and her son, Austin. We met at McDonald's and that was a perfect time to let Ariel play and stretch her legs. :) My friend Onaconnie had just gotten married earlier this month (but we weren't able to attend, since Ava had just been born only 9 weeks earlier) and she was in Austin with her husband for business. SO we met up with them and had a wonderful weekend! We hadn't seen Ona in forever, and she hadn't met Ariel & Avalon yet, and I hadn't met her new husband. So, we caught up on each other's lives a bit. ;) We even drove into San Antonio and saw the Alamo. But, it started raining pretty hard, so we didn't get to see the River Walk, unfortunately. :( Bummer. Other than all the hours in the carseat, I think Avalon was held all but 30 minutes all three days! LOL She had a little "play on the bed time" for about 30 minutes one night, and the rest of the time she was in someone's arms. LOL What a great weekend for her! ;)

Our pet rooster has disappeared. :( He was just suddenly gone. We're hoping someone found him and took him to a farm or something, and that he didn't end up in a backyard with a dog. :( I guess we'll never know... But I do think that we're going to get a puppy for our family. Probably around Ariel's 3rd birthday this March. We were thinking for Christmas, but then we'd have cold weather to deal with, so we'll probably wait till Spring.

Now, we're back home and I'm hard at work on the girl's Halloween Costumes. I would tell you what they're going to be, but then I'd have to kill you..... ;)

Check out some pictures of Avalon below. She's such a cutie-pie! Probably weighing in around 15 pounds or so. She has a doctor's appointment Friday (the 27th) and we'll find out for sure. :) The next update will probably be with Halloween pictures! :)
